"How Will You Play?"

“How Will You Play?” is a 60+ minute chamber LARP about social power in public toilets, set during a feedback session by the British Toilet Association (BTA) on a potential new public toilet design. You will act as a public toilet user, business owner, or the BTA rep for 20 minutes or until the rep has had enough!

• 5-13 players.
• Not suitable for those under 18.
• Intense play with content warnings: Being locked in, misogyny, sexual assault, social anxiety, toilet shame, transphobia, verbal intimidation, white feminism.

The LARP was built mainly from the stories of 27 people around the world, who shared what toilets represented to them for my thesis. I was not able to reach certain groups in 3 weeks of research and the stories exclude groups such as people with disabilities and the homeless.

Final Project at Goldsmiths, University of London. The LARP was first presented at my degree show as a collection of 3 games - Explore (installation art), Influence (mini game), and Act (this LARP).
